Marathon event is in Chandigarh on 13 March 2011. Marathon Registration fee - Rs 400/- .
For National Elite & HFT club runners with advance confirmation free accommodation will be provided in the Olympic Bhawan or Sports Hostel.
OR just support the cause 8km Run with Rs 100/- Registration fee plus Message Running Vest Rs 100/- The Marathon Event is organized by Network 18 with Chandigarh Govt Department.

Time Certificate for all and Top Six cash Prizes in 42km & Top 3 cash Prizes in 21km Marathon.
Actually, they do have separate prize money structure for men and women. Here it is:

However, I also doubt given such a late announcement, how well it will be organized. They are also calling the 42K and the 21K event as "Full Marathon - Elite National and International" and "Half Marathon - Elite National and International" events with limits of 150 and 250 runners, so I wonder if they are interested in non-elites at all (see in bold below).

1. Full Marathon – Elite National & International – This is a competitive run of 42.5 km for prize
money. Timing Chip is compulsory. Participants to be selected approved and governed by local
Federation. The timing certificate can be downloaded from the website 30 days after the event day.

2. Half Marathon – This is a competitive run of 21.197 km for prize money. Timing Chip is compulsory.
Participants to be selected approved and governed by local Federation. The timing certificate can be
downloaded from the website 30 days after the event day.

Start Time: 42K - 6:30 am,. 21K - 8:00 am
Road Closure: till 11:00 am (i.e. 4 hours 30 mins for 42K runners).
