Fort Nalagarh

The Fort Nalagarh is situated on a hillock,at the foothills of th Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh. Lush green forests surroundit on three sides & a breath taking view of the plains on the fourth side. It is an ideal getaway for people living in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana & Jalandhar. Nalagarh is an ideal stop for those travelling to Manali, Dhyarmsala, Lahaul & Spiti 7 interiors of Himachal Pradesh. Nalagarh is the capital of the kingdom of Hindur founded by Raja Ajai hand in 1100 A.D. It was ruled by the Chandela Rajputs who originate from Chanderi in the Bundelkhand region of Central India. The famous Khajuraho Temples were built by the Chandela kings of yore. The Fort was built during the reign of Raja Bikram Chand in 1421.
